Queen of the High C's

Multi-platinum recording artist Emily Williams is one of Australia's favourite voices. Celebrated as the Queen of the High C's, Emily's incomparable vocal talent has seen her enjoy a remarkable career at the forefront of Australian and international entertainment.

Australia first met Emily in 2005 on Network Ten's Australian Idol, where the then forklift-driving songstress stormed the final two thanks to her iconic renditions of the most vocally challenging songs of all time. Though she finished as runner-up, Emily had already won the hearts of the nation.

She then paired with fellow Idol alumni to form Young Divas. Their cover of Donna Summer's This Time I Know It's For Real peaked at #2 on the ARIA Singles Chart and went platinum. Their self-titled debut album — a double-platinum collection of classic disco and pop hits — cemented their status, with Emily's rendition of I Will Always Love You a particular standout.

As a Fiji-Samoan woman born and raised in New Zealand, heritage and self-identity have always been central to Emily's artistry. She initiated the Inspire Tour, a not-for-profit initiative taking music and industry knowledge to schools, churches and communities across Australia and the Pacific region.

In 2023, Emily made history as one of the first women of Polynesian heritage to take a leading role in a UK musical, cast as Rachel Marron in the internationally acclaimed The Bodyguard. She opened the Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix with Synthony in 2025 and performed at the MCG half-time show. As one of Australia's most in-demand live performers, Emily is a once-in-a-generation talent who shows no sign of slowing.
